چکیده

Background: Staphylococcus aureus can cause fatal pneumonia. The evolution of bacteria and the overuse antibiotics have enhanced drug resistance methicillin-resistant (MRSA) methicillin-sensitive (MSSA). Objectives: This study aimed to recapitulate microbiological profile clinical characteristics paediatric patients with MRSA. Methods: retrospective was conducted investigate 1372 S. pneumonia from January 2017 December 2021. Sputum specimens were collected processed for performing bacterial culture sensitivity tests. Medical records reviewed laboratory examination results. Results: MRSA MSSA mainly occurred in infants; however, comparisons sex, age, sampling time between showed no significant differences (P > 0.05). results sputum revealed that all isolates susceptible vancomycin, tigecycline, linezolid, teicoplanin, ceftaroline. Methicillin-sensitive completely sensitive rifampicin oxacillin. Methicillin-resistant resistant penicillin oxacillin, while less penicillin. both maintained high rates gentamicin, sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, exception clindamycin erythromycin. According our results, moreover, gentamicin sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim significantly higher than < common symptoms fever, cough, wheezing. had counts white blood cells (WBCs), C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT) Conclusions: antimicrobial test reflect guide use antibiotics. Infectious biomarkers severity infection prognosis.

conclusions resistance to oxacillin and other antibiotics was high, and most of the isolates were found to be multi-drug resistance (mdr). plasmid analysis of representative s. aureus isolates also demonstrates the presence of a wide range of plasmid sizes, with no consistent relationship between plasmid profiles and resistance phenotypes. regular surveillance of hospital infections and monitor...

Detection of icaABCD Genes in Clinical Isolates of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus from Patients in Iran

Introduction: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is an important pathogen that causes several nosocomial or community-acquired infections. Adhesion to surfaces and subsequent biofilm formation are the major phases of a staphylococcal infection. The aim of this study was to detect the presence of icaABCD genes in clinical isolates of MRSA. Methods: A total of 110 clinical Staphyl...

Microbial Susceptibility and Plasmid Profiles of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Methicillin-Susceptible S. aureus

BACKGROUND Today, significant increase in the prevalence and emergence of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a serious public health concern and is likely to have a dramatic negative impact on many current medical practices. Therefore, identification of MRSA strains is important for both clinical and epidemiological implications. OBJECTIVES The present study was carried out...
